System Wars Rules: READ BEFORE POSTING ( ...

Be sure to read all these rules before posting on system wars.

• Terms of Use are still in place and will be strictly enforced.
• READ THE STICKIED THREADS: posting a thread on a topic for which there is an official sticky, will likely net you a suspension
• Typing ''In before the lock'' and any of its variants is no longer allowed in this forum.
• The use of ''TLHBO, TSHBO, THHBO, TCHBO'' or any variants of these used by themselves in a post constitutes a violation (This includes simply saying ''the ___ have been owned''). The terms themselves are not a violation so you may use these terms in the context of a much larger post but not all by themselves. Similar posts made solely to confirm or declare ownage without any other purpose or addition to the topic will be treated the same.
• Any use of a ''emoticon'' followed by a single word or phrase with another ''emoticon'' will also be considered a violation.
• Flaming is against the Terms of Service here on Gamespot and that does include System Wars. We are now enacting a Zero Tolerance Policy. All offenders will receive an automatic seven day suspension.We have a zero tolerance to any flaming in this forum. Here is the description of ''Flaming'' from the ToU:-
• Flaming - Communications clearly insulting other users, individually or as a group, directly or indirectly, are not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to: name-calling (''You're an idiot'', ''You moron''); direct insults and orders (''Screw you'', ''Go kill yourself''); insinuations (''Are you stupid or something?''); or insults towards family (''Your mom...'').
• To put it even clearer - *any* insult to another user in this forum will merit an automatic 7 day suspension. Even calling someone ''dumb'' is flaming. Using a smiley or putting ''joke'' etc after an insult does not mitigate it. If you cannot post without insulting someone then please dont post at all.
• Blank quote replies are spam, don't do it.
• Responses of ''Damage control'' or ''Denial'' are considered spam or trolling.
• Intentionally misquoting posts from other users is a form of trolling.
• References to one faction or person ''raping ''another is considered offensive.
• Quoting somebody with QFT or any variants is spam.
• The term ''Jap'' is derogatory and is unacceptable for use in these forums.
• Quote chains over 5 replies are considered disruptive. We request that you start editing things down so that you're only quoting the most recent post to prevent chains reaching any greater length.
• Quoting people who post more than one screenshot or picture is considered disruptive.
• This is System Wars not Fanboy Wars. Threads made about who the worst type of fanboy is, or threads made to complain about certain fanboys, or anything similar are not permitted and are deemed trolling.
• If one of your threads is locked, do not under any circumstances repost it. It doesn't matter whether or not you agree with its being locked or not.
• Don't reply to threads/posts that you know are ToU violations (aka off topic posting, spam, trolling, etc.)

• Lemming, cow, sheep, and hermit are the only acceptable alternative nicknames for fanboys. Anything else will get you modded for trolling
• Person vs. person threads are not allowed because they have nothing to do with system wars (examples of these are comparisons such as master chief vs. samus, sam fisher vs. snake, or the covenant vs. pokemons)
• Fad topics are not allowed. Creating fad topics will result in suspensions. What is a fad topic? here's an example. A thread is created '10 reasons why Microsoft is a failure' (nothing wrong there) then another thread is created '10 reasons why Halo is failure' (a fad is slowly beginning) then another thread is created '10 reasons why Brawl is a failure' (a fad trend has started). Before we know it there is a whole flood of similar threads with similar wordings.
• News threads regarding injuries, deaths, or the loss of jobs for ''ownage'' of another fangroup will be locked, as they have no place in SW.
