And I mean maxxed with mods etc at 1080p rez...Can Crysis be seen as a PS4/Xbox3 game?
Nope only the PS8 and Xbox 1839077890 would be able to handle the awesomeness that my 2 year old $600 PC can handle
Obviously I cant play it on Max, but my $100 9800GT does just fine on mediuim settingsCan Crysis be seen as a PS4/Xbox3 game?
nobody would care for it in 2012, or whenever the next gen starts.
More like PS3,5 and xbox2,5.Its still a fewyears until they are released, by now Crysis is playable on max on some machines. In a few years a upper mid tier comp could run it, thats probably what a console will be (IF you count the extra optimization atleast).
Well yea... 360/PS3 can't and I'm guessing by the time PS4/Xbox 3 is out then it will be able to handle Crysis at a high rest maxxed.

Probably, but people might not care about it at that point. Well, I guess people still cared about Half-Life 2 when it was released with the Orange Box, despite it being a three-year old game in 2007.

Consoles usually have superior graphics to PCs at the time of their launch, then the PCs catch up. Gears was the #1 graphics king for a while...then Crysis came out. But that took a year. Next-gen consoles shouldn't be here till 2010-2011. Crysis will 3-4 years old when the new consoles get here...they should at least be on par, hopefully better than Crysis. I mean 2010-2011 hardware, why is it so unbelievable that Crysis can be beat?

HL2 clearly looks better, despite it being a year older.

maybe, but by then, who would care? PC is always going to be graphically superior.

Everything else in my rig is 2 years old, except my new 9800GT. That is why I mentioned the 9800GT. It did the auto-adjust deal and set things to medium, but I might be able to turn some other stuff up, just havent needed to. Also I have an AMD 3800X2 with 2 GB RAM so those could bottleneck a bit. 9800GT is sure a nice upgrade from the 7600GT I had in there 2 months ago!

Most likely, consoles are always half a gen behind PCs so we could see a maxed Crysis with PS4 and XBX 3

It's a real treat.
hope not, crysis is not a good game. played it on pc, was very mediocre. to port it over years from now would be a waste of time.
Yes, the nex gen consoles will have basically the most powerful GPU of the time. Which will be >>> core i7 and 280. Will probably run crysis at near 2160p... (3840 x 2160)

[/QUOTE] which goes to show you the lack of credibility that gs has towards anything. on gamerankings, crysis is a 90.6% and warhead is 84.5%hardly anything of the year if you ask me.
