The general consensus is that the 360 won 2007 in terms of games but the PS3 won in terms of sales (Ignoring the WII here for the sake of argument).The PS3 has already outsold the 360 by over 1.5 million WW for the year. And the 360 is struggling to outsell it with a $199 price tag, PS3 has it beaten this year for games and sales. Unless Gears 2, Banjo and Last Remnant all get AAAAE and the 360 sales suddenly increase by 10,000%. But I don't see that happening.

Let's just be realistic- the PS3 will have more AAAE games than the 360 for 2008, barring a miracle. It's agreed that the 360 won 2007 because it had the most AAAE's. And the same thing is happening this year for the PS3. I don't care about GS's scores but that's just the way it's done here.

[/QUOTE] He is talking about WW not regional.Besides i thought Japan didnt matter , at least it didnt when the 360 was behind.Wii, and handhelds still dominate, and the Ps2 still manages to compete with both the Ps3 and the 360, at this point both consoles are doing subpar in sales at least .

Considering the console is half the price, you can colour me unimpressed. Japan should FINALLY swing back in Sony's favour next week with the bundles, LBP and GTA 4. If not, the PS3 is finished in Japan. And the PS3 has already gone back to beating the 360 in Europe and that's before the new 160GB model comes out. But that isn't really the point. Even if the 360 does sell a little better than the PS3 for the rest of the year, the PS3 is still roughly 1.5 million ahead for 2008 in total.

You can color me unimpressed when the 360 wins in WW sales at the end of 2008 as well.

He is saying that in 07 MS fanboys concluded that the 360 had a better year because it had games like Bioshock, ME, and Halo along with great multiplats. Now of course I owned a PS3 and I enjoyed HS, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank and Warhawk that year along with COD4 and other popular multiplats so the PS3 ALSO had a fantastic year, just according to GS SW rules not as good as the 360s.Now in 08 the PS3 has MGS4 AAAAE, LBP AAAE, plenty of AAE games as well and some more solid games on the horizon like Resistance 2 and Valkyria Chronicles. Thats not even mentioning the fantastic multiplats. So of course by GS SW rules you can see that the PS3 has had a better year in terms of games.
