Do you think Nintendo will ever redesign ...

Nintendo always re-designs their handhelds. From the GBA to the GBA Micro, and from the DS Phat to the DSi. However, they rarely bother to redesign their consoles. Well, I think that the Wii may as well be the first machine that does get redesigned due to its high demand and popularity. Nintendo can make the chispsets smaller (45nm), and use the extra space inside the Wii to place a hard drive (digital distribution from Nintendo's online store) and put internal power supply. Doing something like this will make the Wii cheaper, faster to produce, and more power efficient. Purchasing Wii games from Nintendo's store directly to your HDD will be cheaper than buying a packaged box game. Imagine the demand and possibilities.Your thoughts?Do you think Nintendo will ever redesign ...
I dont think that you could make it any smaller really:?Do you think Nintendo will ever redesign ...
Nintendo don't redesign consoles.
They probably will since casuals are ready to buy anything Nintendo tells them to.
I dont think that you could make it any smaller really:?
Wii has 90nm hardware. We are already on 45nm now and will be progressing to 32nm and 22nm later on. Even if the Wii chassis stays the same, there will empty space inside the chassis for a power supply and HDD to be placed in there.

Adding a HDD will not make it much expenive either. You mention as long as people are ''happy'' with the Wii as it is, its all okay. Well, I am a Wii owner and I think the Wii is a total ripoff for such an underpowered console with a mere 512mb storage space. I demand more for my money, or lower cost for the Wii.

Even $200 is a little too much, $180 is i think perfect.People are gobbling it up, and by people, i dont mean gamers, Nintendo are going to lower the price or add to the cost anytime soon.
It won't happen. Nintendo can just as easily make external HD support through the Wii's USB, but it's very likely that they are not interested in that at all.
No they will not
