My friend just tried playing online with his silver gamertag and he says that he is playing! can anyone confirm this?Xbox Live Free?!?!?!?!

I believe they during a promotion of some sorts which gives you LIVE for free for a year.

Weird, my friend of a friends friend said he was just charged for playing on PSN. :lol:Seriously, I think your friend just lied to you or has a 30 day trial and doesn't realise it.

but he doesn't have a 24 hour trial and he was using his old secondary gamertag:o

thats kind of weird. my buddy was saying the same thing. i wonder if it was a free weekend or something. but my freind definately played on xbox live for free recently so i dont think the TC is lying.
On occasion, Live has free periods. Could be that.
Trials keep you silverLive has free periods, but no reason to have it today, and no one knows about it.

it was free this weekend. and I hear games taht are online with windows are free on the 360. SO you can play the first Gears for free, but the GEars 2 isn't going to PC so don't expect it to be the same.
