Socom Confrontation just keeps getting better and better :D (Highlighted some of my favorite additions)Slant Six has released the 1.20 patch today, in doing so it makes the GS review from this point on inaccurate....HOORAH! The SOCOM: Confrontation 1.20 update addresses the following issues:
- Fixed many issues which would cause the game to crash, hang, disconnect and exit to the PS3 XMB.
- Fixed an issue which would cause large numbers of players in a high player count game to be simultaneously disconnected.
- Fixed an issue which would cause players to be invincible.
- Fixed a physics issue which would cause players to occasionally ''warp'' around on the map.
- Fixed an issue where a ''corrupt save data'' message would be incorrectly displayed after updating the game.
- Fixed some player model issues related to team swapping.
- Client/server optimization.
- Fixed an issue where the scope camera had an incorrect offset from the barrel of the gun while prone or leaning/peeking.
If anyone is still hesitant about picking up Socom Confrontation, don't be the game is great and running oh so smooth.
Socom Confrontation GS Review RIP (10/21 ...
That's good to know, the game isn't out till December here in the UK so I guess it will all be plain sailing for me and SOCOM: Confrontation.Socom Confrontation GS Review RIP (10/21 ...
Unless GS re-reviews expect for people to still count it as a flop. :P
Why didn't they ship the game with this update rather than having to update it later?
since when did they re-review a game because of a patch? oh yeah... never :?
Yea IGN actually waiting till the game is playabel. They couldint get into games or they would constally get disconnected from the servers.Thats why the review hasent gone up. If a game is unplayable whats the point of reviewing it.
Ohh well, might as well get it now :D Was waiting for this update. But still, I must defend GS USA review of the game. Gamespot UK better have a personal review though as they are receiving the real deal. Its like with STALKER CS. The game released flawed, and the reviewer MUST take notice on that. So, I still see GS review as correct.
The update helps but there are still things that need to be implemented. Overall, I like the game and it's addicting.
They should reconsidered reviews and scores when important patches are released.
Why didn't they ship the game with this update rather than having to update it later?
didnt expect the servers to overload and crash as fast as they didbetas are much different then actual game release
still a flop though.my copy with a SEXY headset is coming at the end of november.woootwooooot!
So Shall we add on to CoD2's score of an 8.8? I mean it had serious online problems but with them fixed I'm sure it would be a AAA title. One of my fav games this gen.
Unless GS re-reviews expect for people to still count it as a flop. :P
They don't re-review games so it'll stay a flop for ever and ever. ;)
AA confirmed.
They should reconsidered reviews and scores when important patches are released.
as much how you and me want GS to do that, it wont happen.i do agree with the review score actually.shipping a MULTIPLAYER-online only game with the servers on a bad mood, then of course it didnt recieve the respect and praise it deserved.

- Fixed an issue where the scope camera had an incorrect offset from the barrel of the gun while prone or leaning/peeking.
That issue was driving me freaking nuts...I hated being scope in and had the drop...only to find out I was hitting nothing but wall ...So I had to pull more out of cover....With it fixed.... I will push into cover A LOT more... I played quite a bit today and it still had a lot of lag...I want this thing Warhawk smooth
They now have 3x the amount of ranked servers in each channel. Much quicker to find an open room while searching for what you're looking for.

Oh... I might have to get on today and see if they fixed everything for my self... But, I'm very dissapointed with the headset... I just don't like...
I always liked Socom I and II , so I still have my eye on this one to se how things progress. I'll consider buying after the next patch along with a features update if things are going well then. I think Slant Six should make up for it by giving fans the first planned map-pack dlc for free. Do it.
