I really hope fallout 3 picks up

the beginning was great (I can't recall having to go through my characters birth in a game before)but now I'm a few hours in....and so far the game feels more like a damn walking simulator then anything else. and you character feels like he moves about 1 mph!I really hope fallout 3 picks up
i wish i had a tv to play this one....:(I really hope fallout 3 picks up
i wish i had a tv to play this one....:(
yea, that could be a problem
I wish the game was more like the opening cutscene (the ''i dont want to set the world on fire...'' one). We should be navigating a ghost-town; a city completely ruined and devoid of life. Instead they've gone for this huge, open, grey, featureless wasteland.

I'd have expected some buildings and roads; just ruined and abandoned. I was quite shocked to emerge from the vault and see... nothing.
If you like RPG's then stick with it...if you like shooters and bought this game then you will probably not like it. It is a survival game with RPG and shooter elements. Pay attention to the story and try to do some of the side quests. Other than that, it is a game based on an alternate universe after a nuclear war...it is not going to be colorful and cheery.

I liked oblivion a lot, so i had an idea what to expectI'm just finding fallout 3 to be, well...a bit boring

I can't believe I'm defending a game I usually bash(Yet have not played, hypocrisy FTW), but here's the thing.Morrowind starts out the exact same. Long trecks to any civilization. You have to make it. Sure, there was Sedya Neen(SP?), but that was it.
i played it last night went to explore a bit ended up in a school. chilled around there for a bit it was alright until i got shot at by some chick so i retaliated and she ran off. Anyhow i went back to entrance to get out and she ran straight past me not a care in the world. Thats been my only annoyance im currently inthat town where the simpletons are living around an a bomb (idiots!!) im not far in but i am finding it hard to continue to be fair
yeah, this game is extremely tedious, same drabble over and over again. i would say i am relatively far into the game and its just not that fun. I'll admit, the V button (PC version)(VATS is it called?) is pretty damn cool but there seems to be no depth to the game. And its annoying getting led to one person to then find he is not the man i need. Example: (SLIGHT SPOILER) ''Person A knows where your dad is'' *goes to person A* ''ooh your dad just left, although go and speak to person B'' *goes to person B* ''yeah i remember your dad being here, buthe left BION'' and so on
wawl all fallout 3 haters in one little topic. you either bought the game thinking it was an action packed shooter, or you dont like RPGs. Its really hard not to like this game if you're a genre lover that fallout 3 falls under the category.
mabye they will make dnc that has a differnt story line like in oblivion but there alot of cites to expolre u just have to find it
ha ha, just as i hoped, it certainly does pick upI'm sure as hell enjoying it now
It's a slow starter, but once it gets going, it's one hell of a game.
It's a slow starter, but once it gets going, it's one hell of a game.
yea, I can see that now. for me it started to get exciting when i raided the super duper mart, defused the megaton bomb, got my own house, and fixed the towns water supply by taking hits of mentas (i call them mentos, the fresh maker)

Yes, it starts pickup it the ''dumping stuff on you to do'' factor in Rivet Town.
