Has GS lost their way?

I just find it weird how they release their reviews last now, and it just so happens their reviews lack content and almost try to be different for the sake of being different. To me what they are doing is just drama and to sell this site. Gamespot has completely sold out imo. If their reviews were accurate and well defined that would be another story, but their reviews have become complete fluff imo.Has GS lost their way?

They've always done this. Look at what they rated Deus Ex and System Shock 2.

Then they use gamerankings! that's the moment you want to scream to them '' then look at gamerankings's score and shut up about gamespot '' :P
What I find weird is that they spent their time on doing the R2 marathon and we yet don't have a review for that while some other sites do, but they're one just on time with everyone else to spit out the GeoW2 review... I mean... come on.
The thing is you are right. They post these reviews to create controversy and i'm the idiot here on their site posting about it and falling into their silly drama that makes them relevant and lots of money. IMO the whole reason they gave Gears a 9 is so a lot of people would talk about it and i'm the idiot posting about it.
GS has been in a rough spot lately, so it's understandable IMO.
GS lost its way a long time ago when their 3 best reviewers left.

Since after Kayne Kayne and Lynch it was not just speculation if their reviews were junk but it was fact. Look at the bright side though they still have the best forum of any of the other game sites :lol: I do agree that we need to use their reviews on their website. Just do not pay to much attention once you leave it and use gamerankings.
