PlayStation 2 is Xbox 360's real nemesis ...

We compare the Xbox 360 with the PS3. But I think you should compare it with the PS2. (Don't compare the two brands in hardware power but in evolution stage)THEORY:When the original xbox was released and microsoft was out to prove itself in the industry with titles like: Halo, Ninja Gaiden, Fable, PGR, Forza. You could compare that stage to the PS1. With the 360 they took what they learned from the first try %26 only made it better with more interesting titles: Gears of War %26 sequals. I feel like it won't be long until they'll make a third console to compete with the PS3. The Xbox has a shorter lifespan then the PlayStation, but that's okay because Sony had a good 10 year headstart %26 that way they'll cath up. :lol:I feel like: in a few years a new Xbox will be released %26 this one will probably have the same hardware power as the PS3 and then we'll see who's the best. since both PS2 and PS3 are beating 360 in WW sales this are arent they both competition???

The Xbox 360 is battling the PS3 not the old PS2
Yep...I stopped reading at the point you said the next Xbox will launch in a few years with and I quote ''the same hardware power as the PS3''. Everything after that was just contributing to a massive downward spiral... Considering how close the PS3 and Xbox 360 are now in terms of hardware power,(please don't tell me you're one of those people who thinks the PS3 is twice as powerful...) that would mean the next Xbox would barely receive an ugrade in power, if any at all.And seriously, the Blu Ray comment was just pointless. I would agree with you if there was one game on the PS3 that I truly believed couldn't be done on the Xbox 360. Not one game available on the PS3 proves the notion of the ''necessity'' of Blu Ray that many PS3 fans seem to have around these parts.
