Gears Multiplayer to be Left 4 Dead.

Here's an article I found, arguing Left 4 Dead's Multiplayer could Limit Gears Multiplayer BaseI took out a few Quotes Here. --- Left 4 Dead has it's work cut out for it on release date. With a sea of already existing, tried and tested FPS games to choose from and probably one of the biggest months in gaming, what this game can offer will hopefully be a fresh alternative to what the console already has to offer. Personally I think this ''underdog'' here will leave GOW 2's Multiplayer aspect for dead due mainly to its intensity. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Gears of War. Well I did enjoy the campaign side of the game. Perhaps I am too critical of FPS on a console but I just find them so much easier on PC and even then FPS always feel so limited. To be honest I enjoyed Rainbow Six Vegas so much more.Co-op play gave you a greater feel of achievement when you team up with a few friends and have to actually work together as a team in order to pass certain objectives or enemies however it always feels that it has been tact onto the end of the game.Gears certainly provided a great online game for players but was overtaken by Call of Duty. Now both these series have their sequels to be released however neither are introducing what Left 4 Dead is providing. If anything there are rehashing what has been given to us previously and it seems both are now trying to introduce what L4D is focusing its entire game on. COD 5 is going to introduce a Zombie Mini Campaign while GOW is bringing in Horde Mode but replace a zombie wave with a Locust wave. Both maybe welcome additions however to me it seems if I wanted to play these formats I will just stick with L4D, after all both of these styles are the primary focus of the game itself.---I do agree with most of his points, but I think that both COD 5 and Gears will Have A Massive Playerbase regardless because both of those games are more focused on the competitive side of multiplayer, and most people enjoy killing each other more than helping each other.Gears Multiplayer to be Left 4 Dead.
nothing can kill gears 2.....NOTHING!!!!Gears Multiplayer to be Left 4 Dead.
I want all 3 of those games...now if I could only clone me. I think that this holiday is going to be very trying on all the great multiplayer games out there.
nothing can kill gears 2.....NOTHING!!!!
valve can, they can kill anything, even valve
As much as I am looking forward to this game... I doubt it's going to take serious time away from me playing Gears 2.
Left 4 Dead, the game title is predicting its own future.
Left 4 Dead, the game title is predicting its own future.
Love the play on word in the thread. :)Both I think are going to be played like mad for about the next six months at least. :D
Gears 2 is gonna sell millions in its first week. Pre-order sales have already surpassed Gears 1. L4D will do well, it will have a committed following as these type of games tend to do. But will it pull millions away from Gears 2, don't bet on it.
I kind of agree. While ill love gears 2 multi, the fact that l4d is a multiplayer only game with lots of hype around means it will suck up a lot of the live community for who knows how long.
only among pc gamers. i think gears 2 will be the superior online shooter. i dont think its going to do too hot on the 360.
