Fallout 3 Really ticked me off. Video In ...

So ive been playing fallout 3 for a few hours now. I bought the game today. I have enjoyed the game a lot.I have come across the worst glitch i have ever seen in a game. I didnt shoot or attack or even pick pocket anyone in my area but all of a sudden these 3 people started shooting me. I ran in a building to get away from them. In the building i instantly get attacked by 4 guys with flame throwers, and die. (BTW it auto saved so every time the game starts over im in the room and instantly get hit by a flamethrower). I decided to turn really fast after my character responded and leave the room, but i got hit by a flamethrower as i exit the room. (the game again auto saved). Now every time i start my file my character instantly dies, i respawn and instant death.Ohh im at the part where you get the Fat Guy. I think thats what its called.Anyone else have a similar problem with the game? Is there a way i can fix it or do i have to start a new file.BTW i have the 360 version.Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnBkWfjgMdU Fallout 3 Really ticked me off. Video In ...

Yea I hated that as well, how it auto saves through every door. I have the PC version and I basically saved every 20 mins.
I had a similar problem with the auto save in Oblivion. Unless you have a save from further back then I guess you're screwed.
my only suggestion is too manually save often when you are at a very safe point. then you can always revert back to that save. sorry about the bad luck.
WRPG,you save and save often, and dont go stingy on save slots either lol
Yea I hated that as well, how it auto saves through every door. I assume going from one area to another is one of those choices. To the original poster: Too bad? It's your fault for not saving your game progress manually.
Well, for FEAR, I learned this ability of ''quick saving.'' While I was playing, I got in an intense battle between this guy, and I quick saved right before he shot me. Every time I respawned, I would get shot in, like, .7 seconds. I tried so many different things, and after 100 attempts, I did something... and it worked. I forgot what it was, though.

Sounds like a bad game design by stupid developers. Sorry but smart people do not make such small things to cause big problems.
You can turn autosave off if you like. :
|
Sounds like a bad game design by stupid developers. Sorry but smart people do not make such small things to cause big problems.
really, its a fairly minor oversight, considering the rest of the game is solid.
Thats horrible.
I guess ill have to turn off auto save now. Anyways i think its to late for my file. Looks like im gonna have to start a new one. :(
Never had that happen to me, but I found the game really hard, I just kept dying alot and it really got me mad to the point I almost hurled the game out my window. I decided to lower the difficulty and I was amazed how awesome the game became. Shooting Super Mutants in the head never got old. I'm one of those gamers that hates dying and retrying over and over, I just want to succeed on my first try. After playing on a easier difficulty level I fell in love with it.
You can turn autosave off if you like. :|
This. And it seems like the autosaving is the TC's main problem not the game itself, any game can have this autosaving problem.
im not gonna lie but i lawl'd while reading that haha...
So you found out that you aren't cut out to survive in a post apocalyptic nuclear wasteland, sucks to be you

I lowed the difficulty level and loved the game. Ill have to do that with Fallout 3.

The game is great, that just pissed me off really badly.
