The Wii may be $50 (USD) cheaper than the Xbox 360 premium, but the price difference isn't wide enough for some for worry about, especially if you examine what the Xbox 360 offers the Wii doen't. So lets see, what does that extra $50 for the 360 Premium give you in return, and ask yourself ''would I give another $50 for these feautures on my Wii?'':- 60gb hard drive (512mb storage is bad in todays standards)- HD graphics (HDTVs are cheaper nowadays)- DVD playback- CPU Power to play high-end multiplat games like GTA4, Farcry 2, Oblivion and BioShock (do not confuse ''power'' with ''graphics''. You cannot play Farcry 2 on Wii regardless of how much you tone down the graphics, because you still need RAM and CPU horsepower for the advanced AI and large environments)- XBL Avatars which are superior to Mii's (yes I know its a copy of Mii's, but it still looks cool)Your thoughts? Wouldn't you pay an extra $50 for these features on your Wii? I am NOT bashing the Wii, I am only criticising it for offering too little for that amount of money.Nintendo Wii vs Xbox 360 Premium (value ...

this myth of the wii cheapness is getting old. its very very very rare to be able to buy a wii that is not a ''bundle'' consisting of several items and a game. Im not saying xbox 360 is cheaper, just that its a pretty rediculious to compare a system that is sold as a bundle to anything else as a comparinson of value.
You also have to consider that x360 makes you pay for online (unlike ps3, not sure about Wii) and that x360 is less reliable hardware than Wii or ps3.
I can't imagine anyone on a thin line between buying a 360 and a Wii, I mean their target audience are so radically different.
Next gen console vs a kids toy. Why do we still make comparisons, cant we just exclude the Wii from SW once and for all. I havent seen any of the diehard sheep in here for ages. Anyway, how can anyone so vehemently defend such a travisty to gaming? The Nintendo Wii is ruining the gaming industry. Just look at Nintendo now and try and deny it.

Another thing is that the 360 games must have games are cheaper. Not the brand new ones but older must have games drop in price for the 360 while the wii's games remain 50 dollars. For Example:
The Orange Box $30
Metroid Prime $50

You really had me there, too. :(
- HD graphics (HDTVs are cheaper nowadays)
There are no ''HD graphics'', there are HD resolutions and a high level of detail in graphics. The 360 can upscale games to HD resolutions but no games on the 360 have a native resolution of 1080, the 360 just takes the picture and enlarges it which just makes things worse...

Before I came here I knew nothing about PC gaming and thought it was dead and all that. And now I'm very upset that I don't have a job and can't afford it. :( If you truly want a high end experience (I.E. HD graphics) PC (and a high end PC at that) is the only way to go. Exceptions are Nintendo's games for unique experiences.
Wii allows you to have fun with the family while my mom walks in and i'm blowing off peopls heads in RE4, chainsawing someone in half in gears, or cussing some 10 year old out in halo 3.

Depends if you already own a system. If you already have a PS3 or a good gaming PC you might want to get a Wii to have some different games to play.
